Usu Company Candles was created as a way to honor my culture at home and in the diaspora while making meaningful connections with people from all walks of life. Each 100% Soy wax candle includes a personal story that shines a light on the inspiration behind the candle name and scent. Whether it is a family member, a particular place, or a special memory, I’ve discovered a new way to use scent design to transport and transform our traditional ideas of art and connection into unexpected and unbound territory.
In addition to providing quality, hand-poured Soy wax candles with custom-blended fragrances, Usu Company also promotes an important mission encouraging people to embrace who they are, where they come from, and what they're passionate about--to blaze their own trail.

Stacy Ahua is the owner of Usu Company Candles, a Raleigh-based micro-enterprise dedicated to scent design, hand-crafted candle making, and storytelling through scent. As a first-generation entrepreneur, Stacy fuses her love for culture and tradition with modern means of connection across generations. A trained speaker, logistics & operations specialist, and Communication professional, Stacy finds her sweet spot in any environment that fosters open dialogue, creativity, and community-building.
