Candle Making + Books + Coffee…we can’t think of a better pairing. Get ready for candle making at Blackbird Books & Coffee in Downtown Raleigh!

Hosted in the heart of City Market in Downtown Raleigh, this will the the first candle making workshop at one of Raleigh’s newest locally-owned businesses. Blackbird Books & Coffee offers a variety of titles and genres to choose from, retail made by other small businesses, and a selection of coffee, teas, and specialty drinks .

During the event, you'll go step-by-step to learn about all of the materials you need to make a candle and the candle making process. With the help of Usu Company Candles owner and Scent Designer, Stacy Ahua, you'll get to sample, select and blend a one-of-a-kind scent for your candle.

Plus, you’ll learn the story behind how Usu Company came to life and the inspiration behind the unique candles & stories behind the brand. At the end of the night, you'll have a chance to add your own story and leave with a unique candle creation to enjoy at home!
