The story behind MARIA:
My maternal grandmother, MARIA, helped provide for her family through her own ingenuity.
She was a teacher by nature, but every school year, she would wake up early to make lunches for all of the students in the village school to purchase. Then, she used that money to have clothes sewn for my mom and her brothers and sisters to wear. She sold goods and clothes and always found ways to help look after her family.
She was a devoted mother and a renaissance woman who never put a limit on what she could do or a need she could fill and as her granddaughter--her legacy--neither will I
